Newpath WEB has a dedicated team of 15 quality analysts and software testers who perform various forms of comprehensive testing on the products and solutions we deliver, along with contract and outsourced quality assurance and software testing engagements.

Quality Standards
The entire Newpath WEB software development process follows an established standard that conforms to the requirements in our customer’s specifications. The processes we follow for requirements study, design, coding, testing and support are in accordance with this set standards. The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) group is responsible for monitoring and improving quality processes and systems. The SQA monitors the quality processes followed by our various project teams.
Our Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) oversees the implementation of quality management systems and processes. It is the responsibility of this group to ensure a high emphasis is placed on the quality and timeliness of the deliverables of each and every project.
The Newpath WEB Quality Assurance Process
An example of the items our Quality Assurance and Software Testing team are responsible for are:
- Link testing
- JavaScript, Overlays, Videos
- Grammar, spelling, dimensions, weights, etc. conforming to geographic/location standards
- Header, body layout, breadcrumb (bottom navigation bar) and footer
- Images, and tagging
- Appropriateness of images, banners and references made, to ensure the said site is confirming with stated guidelines and copyright provisions
- QuickTime content (On/Off)
- Regression testing
- The process of testing new code to verify that this new code hasn’t broken any old code.
- Functionality of system against proposed system. This would include

- Site navigation
- Design and layout
- Outlying pages such as site map etc.

Automated Testing Tools
Newpath WEB utilise a number of automated tools to assist with Quality Assurance and testing work. Below is a snapshot of these:

Newpath WEB use standardised templates that we have spent years refining for bug reporting and test cases. We understand some clients also have their own testing and reporting systems and will seamlessly fit into these where necessary.
Newpath WEB also store records of each of these within a portal, that has a project created within it for each client, and each campaign/project run. This information is stored and never deleted, hence long term records and information is kept and recorded.

Newpath WEB has two staging/test labs. These labs include:

In our lab’s Newpath WEB is able to test both static and mobile browsers, various operating systems and environments and even setup unique tests for specific situations.
In addition to our labs, Newpath WEB has a large hosting environment, including a staging environment to setup and test client solutions. Newpath WEB (on a clients approval) can setup a staging environment for a specific testing requirement and perform tests (providing access to our client and their staff) and quality assurance in conjunction with each client to approve changes and tested elements before seeking approval to migrate the changes to a live production environment.
