TPG Singapore (now known as SIMBA) approached Newpath to help it design and develop mobile apps for iOS and Android, which will allow customers to sign up for prepaid plans directly without the intervention of sales or support personnel.
Newpath led a discovery and analysis phase with TPG Singapore to document all features, functionality and workflows for both mobile apps.
The apps are aimed at both Singaporean residents and non Singaporean residents (and visitors) to purchase prepaid sim connections without any involvement from TPG Singapore staff, thus enabling a full self-service, rich user experience.
New Users could download the new app, and be taken through a new account creation process, including One Time PIN, profile creation, a KYC (Know Your Customer) Process covering passport, NRIC or Work Permit documentation, a PCS check, facial recognition and a liveness test using the BIOID web API.
Once the account creation is successfully completed, users can select a phone number from a range of options and their preferred plan, then connect to the payment gateway in the app and complete the check out process.
Existing users have access to a user dashboard within the app, including the ability to view stats detailing their usage, billing data, profile management, messaging and support requests, and to top up his/her prepaid card.
