Solution
Newpath WEB have partnered with LOSCAM to develop a new corporate website with 7 sub sites for 6 Asian nations (which will display as the language relevant to that location/country), and 1 for the Australian website (displays in English). The objective is to enhance user experience and rebrand LOSCAM as a market leader in its industry.
The corporate (Primary) site will act as the entry site for the English version of the website, along with being the door to the 7 sub sites. The home page of the primary will have a menu for accessing each country site.
Newpath WEB are developing all LOSCAM sites using WordPress: WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability.
WordPress is open source technology that provides all listed and essential features stated by LOSCAM in the project brief, thus there will be not only technical benefit in building the solution on this platform, but also commercial benefit given there will be a significant reduction in price associated with the build, when compared against the development of a custom coded solution from the ground up, such as building the site using ASP or .NET.
The design and layout of the primary site, and 7 sub sites will be consistent, which will ensure brand consistency, and promotion. Newpath WEB are also building a feature to allow LOSCAM to have the ability to vary the background colour of each site – with this colouring being sympathetic to the national colours of the country its operating in.
The design will have an intuitive navigated structure and will take care of all the important usability techniques. The design and layout of 7 sub sites will be exactly similar to the main website except that the content will be different and background color can be changed e.g red/blue for Australian site and yellow/red for Asian sites.
